Sony VAIO VPCEB3TFX Great for the price!This is a great laptop for the price. It’s fast, the picture is clear and I love the number key pad on the right side. My only complaint was the sound. There isn’t much volume and the sound was weak and tinny. That was easily fixed with a $29.00 Gigaware speaker I bought at Radio Shack that sits on top of your open laptop. The sound is incredible for $30 and it plugs in with a USB cord. I would recommend this computer and this speaker.

Toshiba Satellite C655 does have the i3 processor which is the lowest of the 3 (i3, i5, and i7) but is a major upgrade from the celeron processor. has good battery life and looks nice. only problem is the speakers. they dont get very loud but easy fix if you buy cheap portable speakers like the Chill Pill. overall it has great memory with 500GB hard drive and 4GB of ram. better price from best buy though.

Asus K52F-BBR9 Notebook Good overall laptop. I3 processor is very fast for an entry level machine. Video and Sound are typical of most laptops in this price range. Intel HD graphics are just OK for basic use…I am not a gamer. Have no problems or regrets other than the amount of bloatware that Asus includes. Very happy. Big step up from the similar entry level offerings from Toshiba, Gateway, Acer, etc… This is about as good as you will find at the sub $600 price range.
